As far as doing repaints goes for Painters Preferred it is important to make the walls as flat as possible and restore them to that healthy looking drywall it was when your home was first built.
As we have here the process is simple yet effective. Walls are fully sanded, holes and damages are fully patched and repaired, primer is rolled onto the walls and caulking is applied to the tops of the base board for that clean new look. With dark colours like this charcoal black from Benjamin Moore it is also important we avoid any “flashing” or “haloing” as we call it in the trade and to make sure the paint is evenly applied on the wall for that perfect finish.
