Kitchen Cabinet Painting

Kitchen Cabinet painting is on the rise as kitchen renovations are very expensive but you can paint wood cabinets to your colour preference for a whole new look. Cover the scuffs and marks earned by years of wear.
As the demand for painting cabinets have increased, manufacturers have reacted and introduced new and better paint products specifically designed for cabinets. They go on better and are much more durable.
Brush and Roll
Our process is simple. We offer a brush and roll option for an affordable yet highly sought after and quality proven process or a spay option for a perfect finish every time. With the brush and roll option we start out by cleaning your cabinets with a delglossing solution then we sand the entire surface of the wood. We then use a shellac primer for exceptional paint adherence and durability and repair any damages or holes that may exist. Finally we sand once more and paint your cabinets with a melamine paint called Advanced by Benjamin Moore with two to three coats or until we achieve full coverage. Melamine paint is a great paint for levelling and high traffic areas and is perfect for that quality finish everyone looks for in their kitchen cabinets.
Spraying
With the spray option we follow some of the same processes we did for the brush and roll option besides a few extra steps. First we would remove all of the hardware like hinges or handles. Then we start deglossing and sanding your cabinets like we would with the previous option. We would at this point take all of your cabinet doors and drawers to our workshop where we can carefully spay and hang them to dry starting with a double coat prime using the shellac primer and sand for a smooth surface. At this point once the cabinets have been sanded thoroughly we would use our fine finish spray tips to apply three to five coats of melamine paint for a perfect glassy smooth Finnish. While this is being done we will also be busy setting up a ventilated spray booth in your home using poly plastic, masking tape and paper to finish of the base of your cabinets with the same technique we had for your cabinet doors. Once everything is properly dried we will return the doors and put everything back together again.
